8-Bit Death Pit does not require an account and does not include advertising, behavioural analytics, or third-party tracking code. The game runs locally in your browser or app.
Information the game stores
The game writes two things to local storage on your device. Your settings — audio, accessibility, and graphics preferences. And your match in progress, so that closing the app mid-fight does not lose the game: this is a snapshot of the battlefield itself, such as your hero, your gold, and the units on the field. It is deleted automatically when the match ends.
Both stay on that device. Neither is transmitted anywhere, neither is linked to you or to any identifier, and no gameplay profile is sent to us. Clearing the app or browser data removes both immediately and permanently.
Information the website receives
The game itself does not transmit personal information. Like most public websites, the hosting provider may process standard request logs such as an IP address, browser type, requested file, and timestamp to deliver the site, prevent abuse, and diagnose outages. Those logs are controlled by the hosting provider and are not used by the game for advertising.
Cookies and analytics
We do not set advertising cookies and do not load third-party analytics, social widgets, or remote fonts. If that changes, this notice and the game’s consent behaviour will be updated before the new collection begins.
Android build
The Android build packages the same game locally, and every image, sound, and script it needs is inside the download. It declares the standard network permission because the web runtime it is built on includes it by default, but the game makes no network requests of its own — it will run with the device offline. There is no account system, no ad SDK, and no analytics SDK. Settings and saved matches remain on the device.
Security reports
Please report a suspected vulnerability privately through the project’s GitHub security advisory form. Do not include sensitive personal information in a public issue.
Children
This game is not directed at children. It collects nothing from anyone, so it collects nothing from children either.
